Could He Be The Son

The innocent blood shed before my eyes

What crime has this man committed?

That he bears such affliction

Suffering and death

How I am drawn to him

Why am I drawn to him?

But this crowd so determined to crucify

On this hill so thirsty for blood to spill

Their cup is filled

But what is their reasoning for this man to die?

I’m aware there’s more here than I understand

Why am I so drawn to this man

Could he be the son of God the chosen One?

Could he be the Messiah God’s only Son?

What evil lurks in the heart of this crowd

From darkness their inspiration is found

It’s darker than I’ve ever seen

A fear filled blood spilled agonizing scene

But  oh this man with the look of love on his face

I’ve heard of healings miracles and faith

His teaching has been heard through all the land

He looks as innocent as a lamb

Oh could he be the Holy One

Could he be the Holy One

Could He be the Holy One

Could He be God’s Only Son

The Son of God
