The story behind the album:

Our love of complex, meaningful words led us to collect old hymnals filled with the depths of poetic creativity from some of the most empathetic minds in history.

With today’s “dumbing down” of words and meaning, we longed to have an avenue of preserving the beauty and depths of the messages contained in some of our old, favorite hymns, while breathing new life into the music that surrounded and contained and delivered their message.

We gathered these songs into a collection called “Shelter in the Storm” – symbolic of the way these faithful messages in song have weathered the centuries as they testify of our Redeemer who is our ultimate shelter in the storms of life.

The story behind the track:

The Gospel is an enormous disclosure of the love and character of God. It is too large to be encompassed by human words or songs. On this track, we wanted to take the opportunity to attempt to convey some of the beauty of the plan of redemption while hearts are warm and open from the beautiful songs on the album, as well as open to the listener an opportunity to accept the gift of God – the gift of salvation.
