Thy Word Expiate - Story Version

Thy Word Expiate - Story Version

Thy Word Expiate (Story Version)

It was a dark night

And the wind blew so very hard

It was a night

Where some souls

May not make it home

But this time

Things were different

For the man in the story

Gave his life to God

I’m tied like a dog to a tree

The prince of darkness stands over me

I’m bound in the cruelest slavery

I’m locked in a cage of insanity

Does anyone see?

Does anyone care?

Or am I here alone?

Does anyone see?

Does anyone hear?

Or am I here alone?

I’m paralyzed by his venomous sting

I’m bound to my sin like a puppet on a string

I’m snared in this evil time

I’m chained in the darkness

The darkness of my mind

Thy Word expiate

Propitiate

Liberate

Thy Word

Reaching high

Giving sight

Living light

Thy Word is the key to be free

It’s the key to live in the sight of a Holy God

Thy Word

Breaking asunder

The sin that I’m under

Trampling it down to the ground

Even unto dust

Unto dust

I’m born in this pit of sin

Who can draw me out

From the lust of the flesh

And the lust of the eyes

And from my pride and doubt

Save me

Save me now

Lest I die

Save me

Oh Lord

Hear my cry

Lord

Hear my cry

Does He see

Does He care

Or am I here alone

Does He see

Does He hear

Or am I here alone

A ray of light

A ray of hope

A rope of faith and love

A strong arm

A descending hand

As gentle as a dove

I’m out of the dark

I’m out of the night

I am not a slave

I am a prince

I am a son

I’m ransomed from the grave

Thy Word

Expiate

Propitiate

Liberate

Thy Word

Reaching high

Giving sight

The Living light

Thy Word is the key to be free

It’s the key to live in the sight of a Holy God

Thy Word

Breaking asunder

The sin that I’m under

Trampling it down to the ground

Even unto dust

Follow the Son

Follow the Christ

The Rock of my salvation

Follow the Son

Follow the Christ

The Redeemer of my life

Jesus sees

Jesus hears

And I am not alone

And that was the story of the young man on the road that night

About Us:

This world is a dry and weary land.

All around us are people dying for a drink of fresh, new life.

In the Bible, drought and famine were used as a symbol of the lack or withdrawal of God's blessing.

Like the prodigal son and the lost sheep, we have all chosen to leave the safety and security of God's love and favor, enticed by our own lusts and the alluring but empty and deadly deceptions of the enemy of our souls.

We find ourselves lost, alone, broken, hungry, thirsty and on the brink of death.

But none have strayed so far that they cannot return.

Cry out to Him for help and surrender your life back to Him.

He promised He would take you back, always.

We pray the music ministry of The Rain refreshes your dry and weary soul, and opens your heart for the outpouring of God's Holy Spirit in these end times.

And if you want to use any of the instrumental tracks to sing to at your church or other live function, please feel free! We would love that. We love radio play too! Feel free to play any and all songs and tracks on your radio station or website if you have one. Spreading God's love through music makes us happy. God inhabits the praise of His people!

Love,
Nick and Lauren
